Hike to Koli’s Peaks by Headlamp Light
Dates: Wednesdays during autumn break: 16.10 and 23.10, from 17:00 to 19:00.
Experience an unforgettable hike to the peaks of Koli in the dimming light of evening. This unique adventure offers a chance to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the autumn forest in a whole new way. On clear nights, we'll admire the starry sky, and if we’re lucky, we might even catch a glimpse of the northern lights.
We’ll start our journey from the Koli Nature Centre Ukko, making our way through the beautiful scenic spots along the peaks. During the hike, we’ll take breaks to soak in the darkness. Our wilderness guide will share stories about Koli’s history, nature, and its significance to Finnish cultural heritage.
Each participant will be provided with a powerful Lumonite headlamp for the duration of the hike.
At the end of the hike, we’ll gather around the campfire at the Prime Minister’s fireplace to enjoy a warm drink and traditional stick bun (tikkupulla).
Please note that the route includes some elevation changes, making the hike more adventurous and moderately challenging. We will maintain a comfortable pace throughout. While the hike is physically active, it is not an intense athletic performance.

Children under 6 years can join the hike and enjoy stick bun roasting at no charge when accompanied by their parents.
Please inform us of the number of children under 6 and those aged 7–16 when booking, so we can prepare enough supplies of stick buns and warm juice for the event!
Includes: Guide services, headlamps, stick buns, and warm juice by the campfire.
