Koli inside out - A journey through nature and history (Primary and Secondary Schools)
Koli National Park, located in North Karelia, is one of Finland's most magnificent natural destinations, with Koli's renowned peaks as its crown jewels. However, the weather doesn't always cooperate, and in such cases, it may be more comfortable for the group to switch from the originally planned outdoor peak guidance to an indoor exhibition tour.
This is possible at the Koli Nature Center!
The guided tour includes the award-winning film 'Mustarinta - A Film About Koli.' The film takes the viewer through the seasons of Koli, providing a comprehensive overview of the area's landscapes, wildlife, and nature.
In addition to the film, the guided tour can also include a visit to the peaks and/or a guided exhibition visit, according to the group's preferences. The guide's stories about the area delve deep into the national park's nature, cultural history, geology, and Koli's unique features. Outdoors, we visit the most beautiful viewpoints and natural formations of the area. The indoor tour takes place in the Koli Heritage Exhibition within the nature center's premises.
